Service: On-Site Installation of One (1) WiFi Surveillance Camera
1. Scope of Service
This service covers the physical on-site installation of one (1) WiFi-enabled camera unit at a single, mutually agreed-upon location within the client’s premises. The scope includes:
- Mounting of the device using standard installation hardware (including but not limited to drill machine usage, screws, wire clips, and gitti/rawl plugs)
- Adjustment of camera viewing angle
- Configuration of the associated mobile application for live and remote viewing
2. Exclusions from Scope
The following are explicitly not included in this service and remain the sole responsibility of the client:
- Electrical wiring: Any additional electrical wire required to power the camera from the nearest available point is not included. The client must arrange and bear the cost of such wiring independently
- Networking/data cable: Any networking or data wire required for connectivity is not included in this service cost
- PVC casing, batten, or conduit: If wire concealment or protection via PVC batten or conduit is required, the same shall be charged separately based on actual material consumed and labour involved
- Pole erection: Any structural pole or support required for camera mounting shall be arranged and borne by the client
- Masonry or civil work: Any drilling into or modification of RCC, brick, stone, or any other structural element beyond standard camera mounting, and any associated civil repair or finishing work, is excluded
- Electrical switchboard work, DB wiring, or any other electrical contracting work beyond the final power point connection to the camera
3. Client Responsibilities
The client agrees to ensure the following before the technician’s scheduled visit:
- 3.1 Electrical Supply: An active, functional, and safe electrical power outlet must be available in close proximity to the agreed camera installation point. Provision of this connection is solely the client’s responsibility. The technician will not carry out any electrical wiring work
- 3.2 Backup Power: If the client requires the camera to remain operational during power outages, a dedicated power outlet connected to an inverter or UPS system must be arranged by the client prior to the technician’s visit. This is outside the scope of this service
- 3.3 WiFi Access: The client must ensure a stable WiFi network is available at the installation point. The client shall provide the network name (SSID) and password and shall enter these credentials personally on their own device. Egis Engineering and its assigned partners shall not handle, store, record, or request WiFi credentials at any point
- 3.4 Site Readiness: The client is responsible for ensuring the site is prepared, accessible, and safe for the technician to work in before the scheduled visit
4. Technician’s Right to Refuse Installation
The assigned technician reserves the right to pause, defer, or refuse installation if, in their reasonable professional judgement, any of the following conditions are found at the site:
- The electrical supply or arrangement is inadequate, non-functional, or unsafe
- The WiFi signal at the installation point is insufficient for reliable camera operation
- The working environment is unsafe, insecure, obstructed, or otherwise unsuitable for installation
- Any other condition that makes installation impractical or potentially hazardous
In such cases, Egis Engineering shall offer one of the following resolutions:
- An appropriate refund to the client after deducting any applicable visit or assessment charges, or
- A detailed list of remedial actions the client must complete to make the site installation-ready, following which a fresh appointment may be scheduled
No installation shall be forcibly carried out under unsuitable conditions, and the technician’s decision in this regard shall be final.
5. Reinstallation Policy
This service is valid for a single installation at one location. In the event that the installed camera is removed, relocated, or requires reinstallation for any reason whatsoever — including but not limited to renovation, relocation, damage, or change of preference — a fresh installation charge at the prevailing rate shall be applicable. This policy applies regardless of the time elapsed since the original installation and no exemptions shall be granted.
6. Limitation of Liability — Property Damage
Egis Engineering and its assigned installation partners shall endeavour to carry out all installation work with the utmost care, precision, and in accordance with current industry standards.
However, the client acknowledges and accepts that installation activities including drilling, fastening, and cable routing may, in certain circumstances, result in minor incidental damage to walls, surfaces, tiles, paint, or other property elements.
Under no circumstances shall Egis Engineering or any of its assigned partners be held liable for any such damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, arising from or in connection with the installation process.
The client shall be solely responsible for arranging and bearing the cost of any repairs, touch-ups, or restoration work required as a result of the installation process. By confirming this service booking, the client explicitly acknowledges and agrees to this condition.
